Weekend Retrospective: Chicago #2

Continuing from last week…

when I left Arlington Heights in August 2009, the young adult group at First Presbyterian Church, Arlington Heights gave me a series of gifts.  This was the second through fifth in the series of “You know it’s time to leave Chicago when…” – all of which had to do with my ministry areas – Contemporary Worship and Children & Family Ministry.

You know it's time to leave Chicago when (#2) you have received your Ph.D. in Child Protection Policies.

You know it's time to leave Chicago when (#3) you have completed your Mac-evangelist missions.

You know it's time to leave Chicago when (#4) you are unofficially (or officially) the one-woman band for the chapel service.

You know it's time to leave Chicago when (#5) you run out of patterns for chair configurations in the Chapel.

The last two, the work of worship planning and leading, the art and creativity of that are the things I miss most these days.
